Innovative Dichroic Glass Jewelry Class •
Instructor: Jan Schrader
Experience the fun of working with dichroic glass. If you are ready to get creative and move on from cabochons to other ways of working with dichroic glass for jewelry, then you don't want to miss this class. Discover how simple it is to get dramatic results. Learn about the colors and properties of dichroic glass. You will also learn how to control the temperature to get your desired result, how to add dimension to your jewelry by layering and stacking effectively, special effects like etching and using patterned dichroic glass, which types of epoxy work best, adding other elements such as crystals, beads and wire to your jewelry. We will talk about different types of jewelry findings and where to resource them. You will complete a pendant, 2 pair of earrings, and a bangle bracelet during this exciting class. All you friends will want to know where you got your jewelry.

Jan Schrader lives outside Olympia, Washington -USA where she has a little studio in the woods. She has been working with art glass since 1979 and started working with "warm glass" about 1988. Jan saw an endless world of possibilities with the addition of heat to glass. Jan has won local and national competitions for her art glass and jewelry. She also writes art glass books through CKE Publications which are distributed in America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Jan is always looking for something new and different to do with glass. This has led to many techniques that she developed and is now teaching to other people around the USA, and recently has started teaching in Australia.

CLASS REGISTRATION POLICIES
The Big M Stained Glass adheres to the following registration policies. In order to keep our costs down, we ask that there be no exceptions.
REGISTRATION
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in classes. Spaces will only be held with payment. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver in order to participate in classes at Big M Stained Glass.
CANCELLATIONS
Minimum class size is 5 people. If fewer than 5 people are registered for a class, the class may be canceled. If a class is canceled due to insufficient registration, a full refund will be issued by the Big M Stained Glass. Whenever possible, cancellations will be made at least one week prior to the beginning of a class.
Full refunds will be made minus the $75 non-refundable registration fee if you cancel your enrollment 15 days before the start of the class.
For cancellations made with less than 15 days notice, refunds will only be made if we are able to fill your space.
For cancellations made with less than 7 days notice, no refunds will be made. There are no exceptions.
