Etching is a great technique for creating beautiful designs on glass. Just apply a stencil, bursh on etching cream, let it stand a few minutes, and was off. Etched designs on mirrors look especially decorative and are very popular.
Danger-Causus Burns!
Use rubber gloves. Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing, Avoid breathing vapor. Keep continer closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handing. May be fatal if swallowed. Keep away from food. FIRST AID - in case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician. Wash clothing before reuse.
Directions For Etching Cream
1) Sir throughly until mixture is unifom.
2) Be sure the surface is clean and dry.
3) Temperature of the compound, the glass to be etched and the room in which used should never be below 60F. In cold weathe "Velvet-Etching Cream" may crystallize. should this occur, place container in hot water until crystals disappear.
4) Apply generously with brush or sponge.
5) Allow 2 minutes before washing glass throughly with running water, then allow to dry. "Velvet-Etching Cream" is of proper consistency for use as packed, but if for any reason thinning is required, use only "Screen-Etch Thinner."
